I spent the day (and a good chunk of the night) drafting the Strum Pattern Archive page. A lot of the time was spent learning about CSS and how to make tables—both new territories. I finally feel like I’m understanding all that code.
I don’t have any content in the archive yet, but I’m almost finished with organizing the basic layout.
I would love some feedback, both from guitarists who have ideas about what to feature on the page, and from those of you who actually know what you’re doing when designing web pages. I’m aware of the typo’s, incidentally.

Hey, I think that looks great. The organization is very nice. I would suggest breaking the strum patterns down into some categories.
For example, maybe: Beginner/Basic, Intermediate(16th count or palm mutes), and Advanced(?). Or maybe by style: Rock, Folk, Funk, etc.
I think this is going to be a super popular page – thanks again.

I love your web site. Your previous article really helped me master the folk strum. And now this will be a great addition! It’ll be great to also include explanations as to what strum patterns to use for what type of songs. Keep up the good work!

I like this, Rob. And I agree with Brandon that it might be nice to mention when 16th note patterns are adapted to be counted like 8th note patters, like in Wonderwall.

Cool, John! About Wonderwall–how about if I just write it out correctly?! Ha ha ha! Thanks for catch that–I charted that strum pattern before I learned how to count.

This is a GREAT resource! I am a new reader and I enjoy the entire site, but this will come in especially handy for me as a novice guitarist. Any ideas on how to strum Mother by Pink Floyd, or even a simplified version? That one is about to drive me to drink.

I can’t wait to get this page up and running–thanks for everyone’s encouragement. Jason, “Mother” is well-named. That song is HARRRRRRD for a beginner. I hope to get around to writing out a strum pattern for it when I do the archive.

Getting there…I’ve set aside a couple weeks in June where I hope to finish my E-book (more about that later) and create the archive. I’m so excited to get started–there’s nothing like this on the web.

This site is very helpful, and is the only site that I have ever found that has strumming patterns(which is the hardest thing for me)! Thanks so much and keep it up!

The CSS must not be working any more.. It wont link..
