Poll: Your Favorite Campfire Songs
Lesson Notebook reader John proposed that I collect a list of great campfire singalong songs. Excellent idea!
Here’s how it works. Vote for as many songs as you like, and if you want to add to the list, leave a comment in this format: “Song Name” by Artist. I’ll add the song to the list as soon as I can.
UPDATE: Because this is a pretty old post, continuing to add songs to the poll will just make them look upopular, because they won’t get as many votes as the songs that were added earlier. But keep adding songs to the comments so that people can get ideas for their next campfire singalong! Thansk for all your ideas!

I think “There Ain’t No Bugs On Me” would be a great campfire singalong song for children, especially since you can add nursery rhymes ad infinitum.
For grownups (or everyone), “O Mary Don’t You Weep” is good, because everyone can join in singing on the last two lines as well as the chorus, even if they’re unfamiliar with the song. It’s no mistake that both these songs have only 2 chords.

You have to include Margaritaville in the list. Friends in Low Places is always a hit.

It may seem an unlikely choice for a campfire singalong, but “You’ll Never Walk Alone” really stirs and warms. The chords are a bit complicated though- for me, at least.
