Rob Hampton
Heartwood Guitar

I first heard this song on a late spring afternoon, lying on the grass outside my dorm room at Santa Clara University. A dorm window opened, someone cranked their stereo and played this song, and I was transfixed. This is one of those songs — like Rush's Tom Sawyer and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody — that almost didn't get recorded because it was so weird.
