Good interview! I must say that you, um, missed out on a real opportunity when you decided not to use “School of Shred” in your business title.
“I love talking about Connor. He’s 7 years old, comes to my studio on all fours barking like a dog and won’t cooperate unless I pet him and call him Simon, and he’s obsessed with AC/DC.”
Is that supposed to be a joke? Or does the kid suffer from some sort of disability? I’m confused.
No, Guitar Fact, it’s not a joke. Connor suffers from CTD, or Child Tendency Disorder. Symptoms include short attention span, delusional behavior, laughing uncontrollably, and not finishing everything on one’s plate. And he is an extreme case.
So sad.
that’s sad! I looked at the video of him playing Wild Thing, he looks very tame for his disability!
Seems like a good therapeutic way to control CTD.
Nice work. Any news on if he won the show?
Interesting interview! I’ve done a little (very little) teaching in my time, and I really like your simple, understandable, make it fun approach. Good luck with with your instructional video.
