Guitar Instruction and Rates
I teach private lessons Monday through Friday from about 10am to about 6pm. Private lessons are $100/hour.
The majority of my students come to my home for lessons, but I make house calls for a limited number of students for an additional charge.
Please contact me if you’re interested in lessons.
I currently have no plans to offer more group lessons–I have my hands full with my current group of private students. But you never know….
Please contact me if you would like to be on my contact list for future classes. Hope we get a chance to meet down the road!

Who and What I Teach
I work with both kids and adults, ages five and up.Many guitar teachers avoid teaching kids. Some lack formal training, some lack patience, and some just prefer the company of adults. I have an MA in Education and three years experience teaching high school students, and I love working with children.
I specialize in teaching beginning and intermediate guitarists who want to play folk and/or rock music on the acoustic or electric guitar. Some of my students want to be the next Ani Difranco or Jimi Hendrix, others dream of strumming John Denver tunes with their family by the campfire. To see the songs I’ve taught so far, go to my chords page.
My favorite artists include The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Paul Simon, U2, REM, The Indigo Girls, Lyle Lovett, Beck, The Beastie Boys, The Flaming Lips, Bjork, and Wilco. But as I mention in my teaching philosophy, I’ll teach you what you want to learn.
