Learning guitar with Rob Hampton was one of the best decisions I ever made as an adult. Rob’s blend of proficiency, flexibility, and easy-going humor supported my learning those first hesitant chord changes that became smooth and intuitive over time.

Gradually, I learned to strum the guitar and sing out toward the audience instead of looking down at my hands. With Rob’s encouragement and guidance, I took on finger-picking and barre chords, too. Through Rob’s patience with me, I learned to be patient with myself, all the while knowing that patience is an ongoing lesson in itself.

It is a pleasure to look back and see how far I’ve come as a musical adult, thanks to Rob’s teaching. It’s exciting to look ahead, knowing there’s so much more to learn.
